from the Gallery at Still River Editions
Gene Gort’s new series, “Intellectual Property”, now on display at Still River Editions in Danbury, reveals a hidden beauty that emerges from his interaction with the technology meant to keep people from illegally copying movies.
The exhibition is on display Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., through June 29 at the gallery on 128 East Liberty Street.
Below is a video of Gort explaining his process in these works in an interview by photographer Shona Curtis. The video was filmed by Still River co-owner Mark Savoia at the gallery’s opening reception on April 29.
