Danbury Music Centre Summer Classes Open for Enrollment

Kids, teens, and adults are invited to participate in the Danbury Music Centre Summer Music classes and ensembles including A Cappella Camp, Bands, Strings, and Afrikan Drumming.

 

All programs conclude with a concert.  For additional information or to receive a brochure, please email the Danbury Music Centre dmc1935@snet.net.

A Cappella Camp – New this summer

 

Directed by Carlos Sousa, the A Cappella Summer Camp, will take place evenings in July.  Enrollment is open to high school students and college freshmen.

 

Bands

 

Musicians may enroll in Jazz, Symphonic, Concert and Preparatory Bands. All ages are welcome. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursday in July.  Albert Montecalvo is the director. Strings

 

Directed by Larry Deming, the classes meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in July.  All ages are invited to participate in four levels of classes from brand new beginners through advanced.  Chamber music classes will also he offered.

 

Afrikan Drumming

 

Brother Ase-AmenRa Kariamu directs the Afrikan Drumming classes.  Meetings are in the late afternoons.  Drums are provided or students may bring their own.  All ages are invited to participate.
