Dinner and a Magic Show at Two Steps July 26

For those who love recipes, this one can’t be beat: take one world renowned Off-Broadway magician, combine with a stylish four-course meal, and let set in the casual environs of an historic 1884 firehouse. The result is Dinner, Illusion & Magic, on the menu at Two Steps Downtown Grille in Danbury on Friday, July 26 at 7pm [Two Steps is an advertiser on The Mercurial.]

Peter Samelson insists he doesn’t do magic, he only helps people to see it.

Peter is an illusionist/entertainer/philosopher, blending simplicity and sophistication as he provokes thought and inspires wonder. Christened “the soft-spoken conceptualist of sorcery” by the New York Times, he has distinguished himself not only as a magician, but as an artist. He has performed atop the Great Wall of China, in the jungles of Bali and the universities of Tokyo. He has performed for Mexican peasants and Grand Prix race car drivers. He has entertained Princess Stephanie of Monaco, the jet-set of Paris and the fishermen mending their nets on the beaches of Cartegena. From Kenya to the Magic Castle, from television to trade shows, college campuses to commercials, the New York stage, night clubs and celebrity events, Peter Samelson is a must-see.

Tom Devine, creator of the evening’s meal, plans four courses that include a Layered Vegetable Tower, Fresh Lobster Cakes, and Filet Mignon or Pan-Roasted Salmon.  The meal is topped off with a Flourless Chocolate Torte for dessert.

“We like to make these evening special and hope to do more in the coming months,” said Devine.

$60 per person for this fabulous night includes the show, a delicious four course dinner, wine, and drinks. To register your party, call (203)794-0032 or email Tom at tom-twostepsrest@comcast.net.  Two Steps is located at 5 Ives Street in downtown Danbury, Connecticut.
