Scout Sleepover with the Danbury Whalers This Weekend

This season, the Danbury Whalers have put together an exciting promotion for members of the Scouting world. On Saturday, January 12, following the Whalers’ 7:35pm game against the Danville Dashers, the Danbury Whalers will be holding a Boy and Girl Scout Sleepover event at the Danbury Ice Arena.

 

Whether you’re a seasoned camping veteran or are participating for the first time, the Boy and Girl Scout Sleepover event will be fun for the whole family.

 

The event breaks down as follows:

 

Scouts, Scout leaders, and their families can purchase tickets to the Whalers game.

 

During the game, Scouts will be invited onto the ice to present the colors during the National Anthem.

 

Following the game:

 

Scouts can set up their camp site/tent in the arena and locker room in designated areas.

 

There will be a schedule of activities throughout the night including:
Ice skating

 

An in-arena scavenger hunt

 

Movies

 

All Scouts will receive a participation badge/patch which meets all BSA and GSUSA requirements.

 

A light breakfast will be served the following morning.

 

Cost for the event is $9 for Scouts and $14 for adults.

 

The event is open to both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
