The Mercurial Wins Most Votes in Grant Contest

Wow. I’m floored!  The Mercurial received the most votes in a $1000 small business grant contest from  Business Owner’s IdeaCafe.  This means we’ve already won  $500 in web advertising, and in July, we’ll be judged alongside two other businesses for the $1000 grant.  We were up against a myriad of companies, and thanks to the astounding support of all the Mercurians out there, we sliced off 17% of all votes.

While the prospect of $1000 is tantalizing (the money will fund our advertising manager position), I feel that we’ve already won that amount and more.  It means so much to know that you readers and gallery-goers took the time to vote for The Mercurial in this contest, and to promote us in the contest.  The grant money will be used well if we win, but it’s the support and love we just saw from our readers, clients and collaborators that will ensure the longevity and growth of The Mercurial.

We’ve come a long way in our two and a half years of publishing and our year as a gallery space.  Here’s to more quality reading, intriguing exhibits, reverberating sidewalk shows, business growth and job creation.

Thank you all so, so much!
