This Week on the Information Super Highway: Cat and Dog Beards, Short Short Films

Dog beards are hot on the internet this week.

As some of you may know, having a job where you are stationed in front of a computer all day awards you with plenty of time to surf the internet. Every week, great content becomes popular for a couple of days, only to be quickly replaced by the next best thing – and people who only occasionally browse the web never see it.

But fear not, your good buddy Mike is looking out for you. Every week I’ll take a handful of that great/awful web junk and post it here for your amusement.

Earlier this year Twitter came out with a feature called “Vine” which allowed users to upload and share six-second videos. It took a while for this feature to catch on, but now people are using it in similar vein to the comedy sketch team 5 Second Films:

But now with Vine, everyone can get in on the fun!

I would love to play this game, Surgeon Simulator. It took only 48 hours to make the game and the controls are just impossible. Many people have since made videos of their heart transplanting simulation while venting their frustrations about the lack of control.

also this guy does a great real world Surgeon Simulator impression:

This is basically how I feel when I watch Jay Leno anyway.

This weeks photo fad has been cat beards:

followed shortly by dog beards:
