Those Mockingbirds and Paper States Stop at Heirloom on July Tour

New Jersey’s Those Mockingbirds and Pittsburgh’s Paper States are on tour this month, taking the bands north to Maine and as far south as Washington DC.  The two will perform at Danbury, Connecticut’s Heirloom Arts Theatre on Saturday, July 20, along with The Offseason, Reckless Serenade, and Hearts and Helpless.  Doors are at 5:30pm and tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.  For more information, visit

Veterans of the New Jersey DIY scene, Those Mockingbirds have carved out a niche for themselves as one of the hardest working bands from the Garden State, constantly playing shows, touring, and broadening their fan base. The five-piece has been hard at work to follow up the group’s last release, Fa Sol La.

Have a listen to Those Mockingbirds’ new single, “The Difference Between Love + Addiction,” here.

Although young as a band, Paper States have already notched some notable achievements. The group was nominated for Best Song (“Aim To Please”) and Alt. Rock Band Of The Year in the Pittsburgh area; they’ve shared the stage with the likes of The Starting Line (Island Records), Cartel (Wind-Up Records), A Rocket To The Moon (Fueled By Ramen/Atlantic Records), and will have their soon-to-be released music video for “Aim To Please” played in retail stores across America. Paper States will be doing additional touring this fall down south.

Both bands will also be performing at Union Hall in Brooklyn on Saturday, July 27.  For more information, visit and
